Thinking of retiring in Puerto Escondido Oaxaca?

We think Mexico is great place to retire. Before we moved to Puerto Escondido we considered retirement in Florida, Arizona, South or North Carolina.

Born and raised in Georgia, I moved to New York City in the late sixties. My 2 sisters and I discovered Puerto Escondido by accident while traveling in Mexico in 1998. I fell in love instantly meeting wonderful people from all over the world. I went home to Southold, NY - near the Hamptons - and was able to persuade my husband Mack, then 82, to move to Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca Mexico for retirement. The expatriate community is vibrant and provides endless social activities. As you may deduce, I'm not much for sitting around to do nothing and have not retired or slowed down...yet.

Our youngest children, 37 and 31, were extremely reluctant when we first told them of our plans. It took only one visit and they too have since fallen in love with our little piece of paradise.
